Wrigley Company, is an American multinational company that excels in the production and distribution of chewing gum. Currently, they have filed a trademark application to develop ‘Juicyverse’ with the aim of launching services with NFTs and the metaverse.
Wrigley Companyis one of the best known companies in the United States and is in charge of the production and distribution of different candies and desserts, but it stands out mainly in chewing gum. It is headquartered in the Global Innovation Center located in Goose Island, Chicago, Illinois.
Wrigley, on the other hand, is owned by Mars Incorporated. Mars Incorporatedand it was learned that the company has filed a trademark application to develop a product called ‘Juicyverse’ with the aim of creating different services in new technologies such as the metaverse and the launching of non fungible tokens (NFTs).
The trademark application was filed on March 24, 2023 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Wrigley Company is looking for a way to offer digital assets and collectibles, including artwork, candy, sweets, treats and everything else it produces, using technology that provides non-fungible tokens to authenticate those assets.
Another key point in this trademark application is the ability to create virtual candy, music, avatars and digital accessories that can be used in compatible platforms such as the metaverse.

However, let’s remember that it is not the first sweet food brand to make its foray into the Web3. Hershey’s, the Hershey, Pennsylvania-based company and one of the largest in the United States already entered the metaverse in December 2022 with ‘Hersheyversea virtual space where users complete quests and learn about Hershey’s chocolates and Christmas traditions.
In addition, the famous M&M’s produced by Mars Incorporated launched its well-known products alongside the NFT Bored Ape Yatch Club collection, the most famous in the non-fungible token ecosystem, and have also filed their trademark application to create their own digital assets in June 2022.
Finally, the Snickers company also succeeded in patenting its trademark for the development and launch of NFTs and multiple virtual products for online retail store services and other products in the metaverse.
