Polygon joins Disney Accelerator program

The blockchain Polygon joins the Disney Accelerator program, which aims to keep the company up to date with the latest in technology. This year, they will focus on Artificial Intelligence, NFTs and Augmented Reality.

Disney launched its “Accelerator” program, which aims to promote emerging technologies through innovative collaborations. This year it will be oriented to Artificial Intelligence, NFTs and Augmented Reality. The only blockchain that was chosen to participate in this program was Polygon, a blockchain focused on offering scalability solutions to projects that give life on the Ethereum network.

Polygonwhich has MATIC as its native token, is one of the six companies chosen to participate. In addition to being a scalable blockchain for the Ethereum network, they also invest in NFTs and Metaverse projects such as Decentraland and The Sandbox, through Polygon Studios.

This is why it aligns with Disney’s purpose of Disney AcceleratorDisney Accelerator, which seeks to invest in growth-stage organizations with the vision of making an impact on the future of technology and entertainment.

Beyond Disney, companies like Adidas, Prada and Instagram are other big names partnering on web3 projects with Polygon. Recently, the blockchain announced plans to launch a new web3 phone with tech startup Nothing.

It is undoubtedly becoming one of the strongest blockchains in the ecosystem. At immortalizer you can mine NFTs be it an image, a video or an audio with the Polygon network quickly and easily. These possibilities is what makes the Polygon blockchain a great variable to work with.

Returning with the agreement between the largest entertainment company and one of the organizations with the most potential in the crypto ecosystem, the CEO of Polygon, Ryan Wyattshowed his happiness on the social network of the little bird with a tweet that alludes to the great work that is being done in the project and that is in sight where the company wants to direct the company. In addition, he culminated with Walt Disney’s phrase: “It’s fun to do the impossible”.

On the other hand, the Official Disney Twitter launched the official announcement of the rest of the participants of the “Accelerator” program and made it clear that this year will be associated with the world of augmented reality (AR), non fungible tokens (NFT) and artificial intelligence (AI) characters.

In total there are 6 companies or projects that were selected for the Disney Accelerator 2022, the remaining 5 are:

  • FlickPlay: a social web application3 that allows users to discover NFTs linked to real-world locations that they can experience and share via AR.

  • Inworld: allows users to create AI-driven interactive characters for immersive experiences.

  • Lockerverse: a Web3 platform that enables creators and brands to tell culture-defining stories and offer unique access and experiences.

  • Obsess: an experiential e-commerce platform that enables brands to create immersive 3D virtual stores on their websites and metaverse platforms.

  • Red 6: is an augmented reality company that has created a patented headset and interface that works outdoors in high-performance dynamic environments.

Finally, it is worth adding that Disney Accelerator participants will receive funding or investment capital for the development of their projects. Additionally, they will have access to a coworking area at the Walt Disney campus, located in Los Angeles, and there will be a Demo Day on campus.
