But this is not the first time Nissan has had contact with NFTs and Web3. In October 2021 the company launched a limited edition of its Kicks model called “Nissan Kicks X-Play NFT”. It was a limited launch of the B-segment SUV for Latin America with a total of 1300 units, of which about 300 were destined for Argentina.

Nissan has become the latest vehicle manufacturer to take a step forward in the Web3 field by applying to register four trademarks with the U.S. USPTO.
The company filed the applications on March 7, through the management of attorney Micol Cecchi. The last update on the follow-up of the applications as of the date of writing this article was on March 10.

* Entertainment services, host of interactive web sites that provide information related to NFTs;
* Provide temporary use of non-downloadable software for mining, sending, receiving, exchanging, storing, authenticating and transferring non-fungible tokens, etc.
Nissan Japan and Metaverse activities
While the U.S. headquarters is anticipating the registration of the new trademarks, the Japanese headquarters is conducting a three-month trial of its“Nissan Hype Lab” online store, as announced in a press release. announced through its official twitter account on March 8.
