It has been reported that the latest edition of the Captain Tsubasa game is developed on blockchain, contains NFT and will be a new addition to the category of PvE and P2P games.
Captain Tsubasa, or mostly known as Oliver and Benji, is one of the most popular anime and manga throughout Europe, and the world, beyond the years that have been published by series that can be known for the soccer story of Tsubasa Ozara since he was a child.
Recently this title has been in the news for an announcement about its return to the world of video games with an adaptation for iOS and Android devices. On that occasion, it was Captain Tsubasa: Ace, a soccer game with emphasis on the competitive multiplayer section.
Previously we could see that on the Nintendo Switch console you could enjoy the title of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of the New Champions. Currently, they are trending for the launch of a game based on blockchain, and incorporates a NFT marketplace.
The name of this new title is Captain Tsubasa: Rivals. This game was developed in conjunction with Blocksmith and Thirdverse Group, with Animoca Brands and another group of investors to be confirmed as the days go by. It is the pre-release of a web3 game using the popular characters from the soccer manga, which will be officially released at the end of 2022.
Captain Tsubasa Rivals is a new type of mobile video game, in which players can compete with other players using characters from the original manga, and can even exchange objects and items obtained through different battles.
All the characters in the video game will be a NFT, which means that no two players will have the same NFT, as they will all be generated automatically through a program containing different parameters and images.
This game brings, on the one hand, a PvE (Player vs Environment) game mode in which players will obtain pieces from rivals to develop rival cards, through which they can strengthen their characters. And on the other hand, it contains P2P (Peer to Peer) aspects, in which characters can be obtained through the implementation of strategies, the use of players’ skills, etc.
One of the keys to winning matches is the development of your own player with NFT Generativos. Through the use of a token called TSUBASAUT, which can be acquired in PvE matches, players will be able to develop characters and then sell them through the game’s marketplace.
Another novelty is that they have implemented the BGM Generative Technology, which implies Generative NFT, the music of the game will be generated automatically through programmed combinations, and this is possible thanks to the link with the Japanese musician Shinichi Osawa.
At the time of writing, no further details are known regarding the NFT marketplace that would be linked to the blockchain game, nor any details of the gameplay.
