One of the world’s largest NFT marketplaces has completed the task of incorporating Polygon’s blockchain for trading non-fungible tokens on its platform.
Magic Eden is a leading NFT exchange marketplace and has integrated with Polygon’s blockchain to streamline the development of blockchain-based video games, as well as drive brands entering the Web3 to bring millions of new users into the metaverse.
It is the third blockchain it has incorporated into its platform, as it also integrates the Ethereum and Solana networks. Globally, it is the No. 1 marketplace on the Solana network, and the No. 2 marketplace overall according to DappRadar.
Within this tie-up with Polygon, Magic Eden plans to launch a new platform and marketplace by December. As expressed by Magic Eden co-founder and CEO Jack Lu, these new marketplace strategies are to become a large multi-chain NFT marketplace.
Some important features of Polygon’s blockchain are low transaction costs and high performance, being able to process more transactions per second than other networks, making it a great option for companies that want to enter the Web3 field.
With this new addition, the marketplace can work with intellectual property owners, game developers and content creators. This integration of the Polygon network has brought new links to the marketplace, such as Kakao Games, IntellaX, Boomland, Block Games, among others.
All these games will be able to take advantage of Magic Eden’s distribution and market experience, as well as the positioning of projects, and connections with the various communities.
One of Polygon’s co-founders, Sandeep Nailwal, announced on his Twitter account that the marketplace NFT, leader of the Solana network, is joining Polygon.
Zhuoxun Yin, who serves as co-founder and COO of Magic Eden, said that the expansion to Polygon’s network is exciting for two reasons: on the one hand, having always envisioned a cross-chain future for Magic Eden, this brings them closer to uniting a larger audience that supports and loves NFTs. On the other hand, because of the popularity of the Polygon network among game developers as a fairly lower cost network than the competition and compatible with EVM, such integration will further solidify Magic Eden as the web3 gaming platform.
Polygon ‘s strengths are low commissions, fast transactions and EVM compatibility. This way they can provide users with a more seamless NFT experience.
In this way, Magic Eden joins big blockchain gaming projects such as Ubisoft, Atari, Animoca, Decentraland, The Sandbox and many more.
On the other hand, it is interesting to note the projects that have been developed on the Polygon network, among which we can mention Aave, OpenSea, Uniswap v3, among others.
