Focus Blocthe platform dedicated exclusively to vintage photographs in a non-fungible token format, has partnered with Movie Star Newsthe store created by Irving Klaw and his sister Paula Klaw in 1938 and in charge of selling this type of images of different Hollywood celebrities in the most important movies.

The two companies have entered into a strategic alliance to develop and launch a unique NFT collection of 333 digital collectibles called “Hollywood: from Golden Age to First Blockbusters.Hollywood: from Golden Age to the First Blockbusters.“.

The images in this collection are stills from Hollywood films that have shaped popular culture for decades around the world. Since 1938 with the creation of Movie Star News, siblings Irving and Paula Klaw have collected hundreds of photos from iconic films such as Scarface, James Bond and Star Wars, among many more.

In addition, the collection will include images of legendary celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburns and Jack Nicholson, and many more.

This new release announced a few hours ago, is another step forward in this quest to be one of the most important companies in the NFT industry.

Focus Bloc confirmed that it has selected and curated the 333 non-fungible tokens one by one of Hollywood’s most iconic films and personalities. The images date from the early 1920s to the 1980s.

The success of old photographs as digital collectibles with NFT technology is mainly due to the authenticity demonstrated by traditional companies and the partnerships they create with current projects dedicated to developing blockchain technology.

By verifying the ownership and legitimacy of a given photo, non-fungible tokens provide a new level of security that was previously unavailable. They also create scarcity for photo workers by choosing edition sizes and creating a level of provenance, ensuring that NFTs facilitate trading, i.e. the buying and selling of old images, creating a new, more fluid marketplace for collectors and artists.

Focus Bloc and its foray into Non-Fungible Tokens

This is not the first time that Focus Bloc has entered the vintage NFT industry. By developing an exclusive vintages image platform, this project has previously launched a collection of non-fungible tokens in collaboration with the French-language weekly news magazine, Paris Match.

The collection was titled “Focus Bloc: the iconic model of the past” and was based on 120 vintage photos by the famous French photographer Jean-Claude Deutschwho was in charge of collecting unforgettable moments with different celebrities such as David Bowie, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Jackson and Brigitte Bardot, among others.

The 120 frames of the previous collection were taken between the 1960s and 1990s, capturing celebrities at the height of their fame. The numbers were tremendously successful, as, it was launched in January 2023 and has since had a volume of 31 ETH, with the current floor price of 0.7 ETH on OpenSea and a recent sale of 0.8 ETH in early April.

In addition, it is worth noting that only 15 NFTs from this collection of 120 digital pieces are currently for sale.
