This news has been made known through a publication on the social network Twitter by the company Ava Labs, by which they announced that the giant Gree is one of the new main investors of Avalanche, incorporating the AVAX cryptocurrency in its balance sheet. The addition of cryptocurrencies to its inventory is as a consequence of one of the clauses of the agreement, as well as having become a new validating node of the network. Currently, BLRD runs more than 12 validator nodes on the Avalanche blockchain.

This is how this development becomes a very favorable point for the entire crypto and web3 ecosystem, as Gree is one of the largest companies listed on the Japanese Stock Exchange.

In this regard, the team has stated that Ava Labs will contribute to the growth of the BLRD subsidiary in blockchain games, providing technical, commercial, marketing and ecosystem support.

BLRD has plans to have a place in the web3 sector to provide users with new immersive experiences in video games, leveraging new technologies, cryptoassets and NFTs in particular.

In turn, Ed Chang, head of games at Ava Labs, said that his company has all the tools to enable Gree to lead the web gaming sector3.

In addition to helping BLRD, they also announced that Ava Labs and the Avalanche Foundation are looking to contribute to the company in other projects, such as a series of investments with Blizzard, which would be a u$s 200 million fund, with the aim of accelerating the growth, development and innovation of the Avalanche ecosystem.

BLRD was established effective July 1, 2022, to promote web3 businesses. It also promotes blockchain game validation and development operations, leveraging the expertise possessed by the Gree group.

For its part, Avalanche is one of the fastest smart contract platforms in the blockchain industry, and has the highest security of validators, which is the core activity of any proof of stake protocol. It is also very fast, low-cost and environmentally friendly.
