Aston Martin announces its NFT collection

The prestigious automotive brand has decided to enter the Web3 and digital asset arena by announcing the launch of its own NFT collection based on the brand’s iconic models.

Currently there are many vehicle manufacturers in the field of NFTs, such as Porsche, Lamborghini, Volkswagen, among others. A great example is the recent announcement of the Renault brand with its NFT collection of “R5“, for which we published a article from NFTexpress.

With this novelty, the manufacturer Aston Martin makes contact with digital collectibles for the first time, which are designed together with The Tiny Digital Factory.

The collection will have an initial quantity of 3000 NFT for sale, which will be cars based on the Polygon blockchain. The Aston Martin NFTs will be available from the official launch date of the collection. On December 18, the whitelist will be enabled on Magic Eden‘s marketplace, to be able to buy them in advance. On December 19, the general sale will be available to the public.

This Aston Martin NFT collection includes models such as the current Vantage V8, the Vantage GT3 and the 1980 Vantage V8, which starred in the 15th installment of the James Bond saga “The Living Daylights”.

The Aston Martin company states that each NFT was made to match 100% with its real version. In addition, these 3 cars offered on the Polygon blockchain will be available for purchase and use on the mobile metaverse Infinite Driveboth its iOS and Android versions.

In this metaverse, NFT owners will be able to view their digital assets and compete with others on officially licensed NFT tracks. The full version of the game will be available in early 2023, and will be free for all users. This game will also feature an integrated marketplace, events, and a space where players will be able to rent their vehicles to other users.

Urvit Goel, vice president of business development, games and platform at Polygon, said that Polygon has a big goal of accelerating the development of blockchain games, and Infinite Drive is an example of this. This new car metaverse is set to launch in the first months of 2023, and it is a joy that the first Aston Martin NFT cars will be available on their blockchain.

TINY DIGITAL FACTORY

TDF is a developer and publisher of world-class racing video games for mobile devices, which run on blockchain. In turn, it has created the Infinite Drive metaverse, where Aston Martin NFTs will be available for use.

Stephane Baudet was the developer of TDF, who has been in the industry for years, having developed some well-known franchises around the world such as F1, V-Rally, Test Drive Unlimited, among others.

Likewise, Stephane Baudet, who serves as CEO and founder of The Tiny Digital Factory, expressed that his vision for Infinite Drive is twofold: to allow players to own and trade collections, as many people have done using real-life models, while experiencing the sensation of using them on a race track.

He remarks that it seems incredible that this vision reached a leading manufacturer such as Aston Martin, to the extent that they decided to launch their own NFTs. He states that they are convinced that Infinite Drive will serve as an entry key to the Web3 world of gaming and digital collectibles.
