The web3 native band announced the release of its first album as a collection of non-fungible tokens based on music files.
The PerrisThe Perris, the digital band founded and currently composed of three musicians, has the essence of being a band that comes to revolutionize the way of recording and sharing music, so they have released their first album as NFT. One of the band’s objectives is to generate a new way of relating and interacting with the audience.
After more than a year of hard work and effort, the band has reached the long awaited moment of releasing their album in NFT format. Each musical loop has been recorded by different people and then randomly sorted by AlgoRythm, a state-of-the-art tool used in the music field.
The collection is composed of 1111 unique songs in more than five genres and is intended to be the largest digital album in history, seeking to surpass the current Guinness World Record of 1000 songs. Each musical work has characteristics of relaxation and prove to be pleasing to the ear. They carry with them nostalgic characteristics, which the public will be able to notice instantly.
This digital album is published royalty-free to encourage the community to get involved as much as possible. In this way, the musical works can be used for collaborations or as a basis for various uses, whether for remixes or freestyle.
Each band member represents well-known NFT collections, such as. BAYC, Peaceful Groupie y Deadfellazand a great team from Argentina. This band in turn was part of the music event held at the Metaverse called Metaverse Music Festivaltogether with great artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, among others.
In this way it is worth clarifying that beyond the novelty of the release of their first digital album, it does not mean that the band is taking its first steps. Previously they have participated and interacted in the metaverse, having performed more than ten shows in the last months.
Regarding the band itself, it is a completely independent team, composed of musicians, developers and artists. Their position is that NFTs come to revolutionize the way of interacting with the public. Along these lines, they can approach the audience in a different way, get to know them, interact with them and make them feel part of the development of each piece of music. Their position is the creation of a community, and not a fan club.
Also, the digital album will be published under CC0 terms, so there are no reserved rights, and consequently, the community will be able to get involved as much as they want, whose interaction is what the digital band is looking for in the first place.
By taking advantage of this new technology, albums can be recorded as a unified sound aesthetic, rather than as a compilation of separate songs.
Regarding the design of the digital album, the Argentine designer KiDDO was in charge of it. He was the one who was in charge of giving the colors and the visual aspect of the band’s album, besides the material art. In this way, the designer made 6 different motifs, being one for each genre and the last one a super rare version for special songs.
