Cryptoys, the Web3 toy company, announced the release of a new series of digital collectibles based on the historic Star Wars franchise. The NFT collection was created in collaboration with Walt Disney and commemorates Star Wars Day.

Cryptoys and Walt Disney just announced they’re launching an exclusive NFT collection for Star Wars, the legendary franchise of movies and series recognized worldwide. This project is meant to celebrate Star Wars Day, which is on May 4th, but the collection won’t be released until the 24th of this month.
The Web3-focused toy company confirmed that the digital collectibles for Star Wars will consist of 15 of the most beloved characters from the fantasy saga, represented as digital minitoys. Some of the iconic figures included are Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader, among others.
To keep fans and collectors on the edge of their seats and add more value to the surprises, Cryptoys announced that each collectible will come in a sort of blind box called a “Digital Holocron” which represents the data storage device used in the franchise. As a result, users who purchase a Star Wars NFT won’t know which character they got until they open the Holocron.
Also, as usual with NFT projects, these digital assets will be classified into different levels of rarity, ranging from “common” to “ultra-grail.” Each character will also be available in five different skin designs inspired by chibi.

On the other hand, the Star Wars digital toy collection will be minted on the blockchain called Flow, which works on enterprise projects for companies like NBA, Mattel, LaLiga, TicketMaster, and many more. The NFTs will be available starting on May 24th, and each asset will have a value of $39.99 USD.
Moreover, in order to overcome the barriers of the crypto industry, Cryptoys has chosen to offer traditional payment gateways such as credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. However, a processing fee of 5% will be charged at the end of the purchase.
Cryptoys isn’t new to NFT projects. Last year, the digital toy company teamed up with Mattel to present an NFT collection called “Master of the Universe” (MOTU) as a tribute to the MOTU media franchise produced by Mattel.

This new collection from one of the leading digital toy manufacturing companies shows their commitment to their community and especially to Star Wars fans. This movie series has captivated millions of people worldwide for several decades. It made its first appearance on the big screen in 1977 and has been a resounding success for several generations.
Now, with the release of this NFT collection of digital toys, fans can enjoy totally innovative and collectible products. It’s expected that the community will be totally interested, and these digital assets will sell out quickly.
Finally, the Star Wars franchise isn’t new to the world of non-fungible tokens either. In November 2022, it partnered with VeVe, a mobile app that allows for the buying and selling of licensed digital collectibles using NFT technology.
